R-Strap

The R-Strap by Black Rapid is not your traditional camera strap, the first thing that attract me is when the camera not in use it is upside down & the lens is not protruding out, not like when you hang it on your shoulder on a traditional strap & constantly adjusting your strap & raise you shoulder a little bit just to make sure you don’t drop your camera. R-Strap also good news for your neck & no more camera swing in front of your chest.

New Nikon D3000

Introducing the new Nikon D3000, firstly I was confuse with both the introduction of D300s & D3000 I thought it was just a typo with an extra '0' at the end instead of an 's' :p. The new Nikon D3000 sit in between D5000(click here for D5000 Spec.) & D60,with the local market price D5000 costing $1++ more than the D3000 with the same kit, well the choice is yours. If you want for a D-movie mode in your DSLR D5000 is for you with it vari-angle type LCD monitor(2.7 inch). D60, D3000 & D5000 are great starter DSLR, but if you are serious in photography willing to spent the time & a bigger hole in your pocket get yourself a D90, just my point of view.

My New Toy

Have been wanting to buy a tablet for quite a long time now, WACOM (Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen Set) are the best in line & with that quality will burn a whole in my pocket (no budget).
But just few days ago encounter a tablet for sale, detail of the tablet are below:

www.geniusnet.com

Immediately contact the person & got it for BND$65, reason for selling: Upgrade to WACOM, checked E-bay it cost S$160 ++ (not including shipping & tax). NICE!!!!

Open it three times even before I got home hahahaha (inda penyabar)………. All is intact even the battery for the pen is original (Just because I havn’t seen that brand sold here lol)

Great professional look with it’s black shiny finish, light weight & fit into my small laptop bag, it’s a plug & play with window vista but with other OS need installation. Come with insert for window & mac ( I haven’t try to use the built in button on the side).

Get use to it just within 5 mins. Due to the fact that it’s not like a mouse where you can ‘lift & drag’ to position your pointer for a tablet ‘where you point on that tablet area that’s where your pointer will be’ make sense?. Another thing to get use to is when selecting the slider e.g Level in Photoshop, that small triangle slider. Lag occur when you stop to rest & continue , the pointer disappear & need some doodling around with the pen. And another problem sweaty palm, well that’s my problem hahahahaha…… constantly holding the pen.

All in all a great beginners tablet with a professional look. Essential tool for Photo editing.
